Cupping

Cupping is a traditional and very effective treatment method, which is particularly useful in treating local problems and along the meridians.

What exactly is Cupping?

Cupping is a treatment in which creating a vacuum under cupping glasses (cups, traditionally made of glass) stimulates the body. Before placement the glasses are heated to create a vacuum. This results in a therapeutic suction, which promotes blood circulation and the body’s metabolism. Cupping promotes the healthy flow of qì and blood in the local area and along the meridians. Thus, Cupping clears blockages and stagnation in your body.

What is Cupping used for?

I usually use Cupping in combination with or as an alternative to acupuncture for muscle tension, joint diseases, back pain, neck and shoulder pain, colds, cough and painful menstruation.
