Infertility and fertility treatment (zhì liáo bù yùn, 治疗不孕)

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) looks back on a long and successful history of helping infertile couples in China. The focus of treatment with Chinese Medicine is to regulate the menstrual cycle, and to improve the quality of eggs and sperms as well the function of the reproductive organs. This holistic view pays attention to every aspect of infertility (bù yùn zhèng, 不孕症).

Holistic approach – individual treatment

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as treatment options in Chinese Medicine are individually customized to each patient, because every person has their own cause of infertility. Consequently, this requires a unique therapy customized for each individual patient.

Outside of China, too, TCM knowledge has successfully helped couples with fertility problems for decades. In recent years more and more couples have chosen a gentle treatment with TCM, statics show. Numerous studies have been conducted all over the world and they have shown that the application of TCM can increase your chance of getting pregnant.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and IVF

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a form of therapy that can support the desired result in a natural and personal way. TCM can also supplement In-Vitro-Fertilization (IVF) to improve your conditions and to help you during this process.

What do you need to consider before IVF?

Patiens should start with TCM treatment at least three months before IVF is scheduled with Acupuncture and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine. During this period, the functions of the ovaries and the immune system are regulated. The quality and quantity of sperm can be also improved. Often a normal function of the menstrual cycle can be regulated within a certain time frame, so that the woman might even conceive naturally without having IVF.
